We met a host of new and old friends as we meandered along
Our second trip with GST was simply fantastic. The Month of Money tour was far better than expected and beautifully organised. We met a lot of new and old friends and is definitely an experience you will never forget. Some of the highlights, apart from the great speedway, were the baseball at Wrigley Field, the Mississippi Riverboat cruise and all the old towns along Route 66 are must see.
Thanks again to Karen and the two Peters.
David & Frances Eames – Bunbury, WA Month of Money 2014 July10,2016
My family read the BLOG everyday to make sure I was behaving myself
The memories GST have given me can’t be put into words. All I can say is awesome. The tour was about as a good as I thought it could be. And thankyou for travelling Route 66 for three days. For the rest of my life I can now say I’ve done it!
Adam Hawkes – Sydney, NSW Month of Money 2014 July10,2016
You could make it a three month tour and still not see everything
Had an awesome holiday. Now need to take a holiday after the holiday. But the tour was well paced, well thought out and executed precisely. Things like the Ganassi Racing Indycar tour, Tony Stewart’s shop, Winchester Speedway, are only available because of your experience and contacts.
Very well organised from the initial booking through to final flights. I saw and visited things that only the experience of Global Speedway Tours could provide. These are some of the reasons why people should use GST rather than try to do it themselves. Thanks guys .... you make all the difference ..... see you again for Florida 2017.
Jane Howes – Sydney, NSW Month of Money 2014 July10,2016
I want to go to every US town that has a speedway
Peter Physick and Peter Hanson were wonderful Tour Hosts and are my friends now. They were so organised and everything was well planned with a lot of time and effort, so thankyou. I recommend anyone who is a speedway fanatic should go on the Month of Money tour ... it’s worth the money and worth seeing. Thanks for everything you did for me and my Dad. We had an awesome time and will definitely go again.
Jason Kitchen – Figtree, NSW Month of Money 2014 July10,2016
Breakfast was great in Daytona … Steak and eggs for eight days straight!
Florida 2014 was a wonderful tour ... even better than our first two trips with Global Speedway Tours in 2011 & 12. The two Peters couldn’t do enough for us. They were great. Also thanks to Karen at ECM Travel who for all the extra trouble she went to arranging our post tour holiday in Las Vegas and Anaheim. Next time Bob will drive the Richard Petty Experience NASCAR, rather than do the Ride-a-long at Daytona Speedway.
Bob & Pat Whittle - Geelong, Victoria Florida 2014 July10,2016
The Florida Tour was real value for money
The services provided on tour by the “two Peters” were excellent. The service provided by Karen from ECM Travel, who helped me out a great deal for the end of tour side trip to Charlotte, was well done. I hope that guy who came down with that bug in San Fran doesn’t do an encore again!! I considered the tour real value for money. I always wanted to do the Daytona Speedweek as I had it on my bucket list.
Russell Blackman - Windsor, NSW Florida 2014 July10,2016
Put your feet up and enjoy the ride …
If you’re looking to do a racing tour to the states, Global Speedway Tours are second to none in terms of providing you with the best racing tour that money can buy. Everything is expertly organised and the only thing you have to do is sit back, put your feet up and enjoy the ride. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience and can’t recommend them highly enough for anyone that want to live out their dream and experience Speedway racing USA style.
Seeing 410 non-wing racing in Indiana was something I will always remember, as well as New York. Listening to Dave Argabright speak at the Royal Amsterdam was also a highlight.
Scott Jenkins – Adelaide Month of Money 2013 July10,2016
So good to go on a trip where all you have to do is turn up …..
Absolutely fabulous. Peter and his crew go beyond just the advertised tour. We only did two weeks of the Indy Tour in 2016 before heading over to the East Coast for two weeks. Global Speedway Tours booked all our extra flights and accommodation. Although we had a full speedway itinerary of 14 races in 14 days, day time outings were flexible which allowed us time to catch up on essentials (eg washing and sightseeing). Peter was a very knowledgeable tour leader and we would certainly go again. Plus have the opportunity to do other GST tours at some future date.
Peter and Andrea Barnes - Rockhampton, Qld August31,2016
The whole tour and every track we went to was a highlight
Thoroughly enjoyed the three days in San Francisco on the way through to Florida. Loved waking up each morning in our Daytona Beach hotel and seeing the ocean through the bedroom window and we should have stayed longer in Key West!!
Ken and Marilyn Holland – Heywood, Victoria Florida 2014 August31,2016
The biggest highlight for me was any wingless show we attended
Stop thinking about it and book it. The tour lived up to all my expectations and then some. The blokes at Global Speedway Tours really do go out of their way to make the most of your trip. We saw some awesome racing, made some good friends and drank their beer!! It is definitely an experience you'll never forget. I think the tour was well worth the money. The contacts GST have in America help to make the trip that little more special. Money can't buy that.
Once again a huge thank you to Pete Physick, Pete Hanson and Karen for all the work you did, not only while we were away, but for all the info you gave us before we left to help get the most out of our trip. It really is something I will never forget and has given me plenty to talk about over a beer. Cheers boys ...
Ash de Groot - WA Month of Money 2012 August31,2016
Your research on tracks and sightseeing is great
My second tour with Global Speedway Tours and once again they have outdone themselves. Racing was superb, good variety, great accommodation and plenty of sightseeing. If you want to see some great racing, meet some great people away from the tourist strips, I thoroughly recommend spending a month with Global Speedway Tours.
Pete Richards – Queensland Month of Money 2012 August31,2016
I loved the Dave Argabright lunch
This was my second tour with Global Speedway Tours and it was as fantastic as the first – a truly unbelievable experience for someone who loves motor racing. The accommodation was brilliant; the whole thing organised to run smoothly – everything taken care of – just sit back and relax and enjoy the sights and the racing! The Month of Money tour is a must do for anyone who loves to see awesome sprint car racing – both winged and wingless.
Pat Topp – Queensland Month of Money 2012 August31,2016
Our trip was very special
GST did a first class job. Both Petes were excellent in looking after all our needs. Sprintcar heaven!! Every sprintcar fan has to go to Knoxville at least once in their life and the way to do it is with Global Speedway Tours.
David and Fran Eames – Bunbury, WA Month of Money 2012 August31,2016
It was a dream come true for me
I enjoyed the whole Month of Money trip. Nothing was an issue for the guys from Global Speedway Tours. The all inclusive circuit entry tickets and additional tours are all organised by the two Pete’s and this makes the whole experience so much more enjoyable. Well done Global Speedway Tours.
A special thanks to you guys and to Pete Junior. I had a fantastic time and have now met some lifelong friends, even if we only get to catch up on Facebook.
It was a dream come true for me and your tour made it so much more enjoyable as I didn’t have to do much, apart from have fun. I will have life long memories and hope to do it all again with you guys one day.
Trevor Jordan – South Australia Month of Money 2012 August31,2016
The best $10k I’ve ever spent
I waited a long time to get to America to watch racing. And I did in 2012. The racing and atmosphere was unbelievable. Had the time of my life with Global Speedway Tours. Not only did they provide a great service, but we became really good friends. Would recommend that if you are thinking about a tour, then this is the group to go with. I couldn’t speak highly enough of them.
Dean Greenham – Victoria Month of Money 2012 August31,2016
Stop thinking about this tour and just do it!!
The 2012 Month of Money tour was without a doubt a sensational trip to do, that not only provided exceptional racing and venues, but night life and sightseeing too. It was great to meet new people and be guided by such professional and accommodating staff where nothing was too much trouble. Stop thinking about doing this tour and JUST DO IT!
Jason Kavanagh - Victoria Month of Money 2012 August31,2016
A life experience never to forget
From the moment we left Sydney, we all knew this was going to be fun. We all clicked straight away and with a wide variety of personalities this complemented the tour. No one was too sensitive. It was very nice to have a few women on tour as they kept the guys pretty honest and they were both a great laugh! The organisation of the trip was faultless, always on-time and well organised. Our host were considerate and just wanted to show us all the best time even when we had regular “Piss” and “Food” stops for one of the tour members! All the race events were excellent with the highlight being the Bud Shootout at Daytona! Even the best tour guides “Can’t stop the Rain.”
The accommodation was varied, but was generally very good. The Booze bus was OK, and the fridge was always cold and full with a variety of Yank Beers – more Buds please.
Overall I rated the whole trip 8/10 – well done boys and a big thanks to my fellow tour members who made it a life experience never to forget.
Terry Hudson – Brisbane Florida 2012 August31,2016
The organisation was superb
To the two Petes. Thanks again for a great trip. Florida was fantastic. What you do is great and you have the tour so well organised. Can't wait to go again with you both on a Month of Money tour next time.
Gary Hallett - Muswellbrook NSW Florida 2012 August31,2016
Daytona …. what a place!!
This was our second consecutive trip with Global Speedway Tours. The two Peters do a great job on tour and always have the right answer to any situation no matter what.
Daytona was a fantastic tour and we loved the stories in the van over the trips to tracks from everybody on board. Some stay on tour though!!
Bob & Pat Whittle - Geelong, Victoria Florida 2012 August31,2016
“Thomas” and “Kimmie” loved everything they saw and did.
Gail and I had always talked about doing a speedway tour in the USA and we were so pleased that we found Global Speedway Tours. They were very organised and we didn't have to do anything except get on the plane and enjoy our holiday.
The tour leaders and the group we went with were thoroughly enjoyable and great fun and we have made new friends and have memories that will last a lifetime.
Thank you to Peter Physick and Peter Hanson and not forgetting Karen Caba's great work at ECM Travel.
Philip & Gail Folpp - Newcastle, NSW Florida 2012 August31,2016
Awesome tour – will definitely do it all again
Florida was first class from the start to the end. From the first contact that I made with GST to the last day of the trip there was nothing more as a customer I could have wanted or asked for.
The only negative was that it had to end. The boys exceeded every expectation I had.
Adam Hawkes – Sydney, NSW Florida 2012 August31,2016
We saw racing you just won’t see in Australia
The Courtyard Marriott Hotel was very clean and tidy .... the reception and bar/kitchen staff couldn’t do enough for us. Nice and close to the Bourbon Street Distillery bar across the street too!
We missed the Dayton Air Force museum as Dad and I were over in Pennsylvania somewhere, but the Don Smith museum…what a collection! You just wouldn’t get access to that sort of thing without being on your tour. I seriously had a ball over there. The atmosphere at Indy was unreal, the “Little Indy” at Anderson was mind blowing … I don’t know where else you would see that. Eldora for me though was a great place and a great race.
Both Pete’s were great blokes who genuinely love their race cars. I’ve never been on any other tour to compare, but I think they did a great job. Karen got us there and back alive, so she did a great job too.
Our trip to the States with Global Speedway Tours was great. We witnessed some racing you just won't see here in Australia, sampled the American culture, met some great people and came home with new friends from near and afar.
Ash Bergmeier – Huntly Victoria Indy 500 2011 August31,2016
Loved the dollar beers in the ‘bus’.
Ken said "there should have been a fridge for his beer in the room in Indy". This was the only thing we can think of that wasn't otherwise fabulous. And we loved the $1 beers in the 'bus'.
There should have been a rating of "better than excellent" for our Hotel in Pella, Iowa!! And the Dayton Air Force Museum was 11 out of 10. A must see .... it is "out of this world".
Winchester Speedway was Marilyn's all time highlight, while Ken was quite taken by the tornado warning systems in Indianapolis. However his real highlight was just being in the crowd at the Indy 500 and experiencing the atmosphere.
Speaking with other tour members, we agreed that the whole tour was good value and we thoroughly enjoyed everything about the trip. We would like to see more winged sprintcar racing on future tours, but it appears you have that covered with the upcoming Florida tour and the 2012 Knoxville Nationals trip.
Being a race fan and a petrol head, Ken just wanted to see the race tracks in the USA and he now has. Thank you very much Global Speedway Tours.
Ken & Marilyn Holland - Heywood / Victoria Indy 500 2011 August31,2016
A true American experience
I think you guys did well in terms of diversity of racing. We saw a lot of different classes. If you could luck out with a drag race that would be good, but it all depends on the schedules of course. The Indy 500 was right up there for me and the main reason I went on this tour.
It got me interested to go.
Very satisfied with the Courtyard Marriott Hotel in Indianapolis. Good rooms, good service and well located. Could not fault I don’t think.
I don’t think there is another tour that can give you such a great variety of racing experiences. A true American experience away from the tourist strip with plenty to keep you occupied between the races. I would recommend the tour to anyone….
Pete Richards - Blue Mountain Heights, Queensland Indy 500 2011 August31,2016
There was no single highlight … everything was so good.
Loved the Hotel in Indianapolis with its walking distance to the city ... the staff really made us feel at home.
We also enjoyed the fact there was no self driving which allowed us plenty of time to see the surrounding countryside and sights.
We found this trip to be a great experience and enjoyed the company of others on tour. It was a great group and two terrific tour guides who made us really fit in - nothing was ever a bother to either of them.
Saw many sights and places that were not included in the itinerary ... the whole thing was an eye opening experience.
Could not fault any of the services provided. We would recommend Global Speedway Tours to anybody and in fact have already done so!
Bob and Pat Whittle - Geelong, Victoria Indy 500 2011 August31,2016
A fantastic way to discover the USA for the first time!!
As a first timer, I appreciated going to all tracks just to see them and experience what they had to offer. I wanted to experience everything and until you do that, you can’t really determine what is good and what is not so good.
The Chevy 15 seater was fine in that it allowed the tour group to mostly travel together, experience everything together and enjoy each others company. I think this is important for group bonding as it provides an opportunity for all participants to be part of the experience and general discussion processes.
The highlight for me was that the tour provided an opportunity to actually go to America for the first time. The time spent on the tour allowed Ash and I to better understand how to get around and appreciate the American culture before travelling on our own. Nearly everything was special in some way or other, but I thought the Little 500 at Anderson was spectacular.
I had a great time and saw some absolutely spectacular sights such as the Indy 500, Indianapolis Memorial day parade, the Dream at Eldora and of course the unforgettable 500 lapper at Anderson. Global Speedway Tours provided an opportunity to visit America and go to the races with a feeling of comfort and safety knowing that somebody else was responsible for a change.
Ron Bergmeier - Huntly, Victoria Indy 500 2011 August31,2016
What a great trip!!
Just wanted to let all at Global Speedway Tours know what a fantastic time I had on the Indy Tour and to thank you guys for all the hard work organising everything. It was a dream come true for me - my wife reckons I've been in motor-racing fan heaven!
The absolute banquet of different forms of racing that we got to see was incredible, and just one of the things that made this such an outstanding experience. From the spectacle of the Indy 500 to the awesome experience of the Little 500 - each race was an adventure. To get to see 33 sprint cars doing 500 laps of the paved bullring at the Little 500, through to Eldora and The Dream, the winged sprint cars at Knoxville, the Silver Crown cars on the mile at the Fairground, as well as Midget Week on all the dirt bullrings was truly a dream come true for me. To be able to see so many of these forms of racing that we don't get in Australia in such a short time was a real credit to your group's organisation and management.
Thanks also for organising the extra treat of the visit to the Air Force Museum at Dayton. This became another highlight of the trip, one we weren't expecting, but a definite winner. I think it should be considered a must see for any future trips you plan for that area! Actually from my point of view I would happily miss out on the outlet shopping time to spend a whole day there.
The hotels we stayed in at Indianapolis and Pella were superb. Unfortunately the accommodation in Chicago didn't live up to expectations - but everything else about Chicago was great. It added a whole new dimension to the trip to be able to explore the city via the hop-on-hop-off bus and view the whole place from atop the Willis Tower.
Anyway to all involved a huge thank you and congratulations on a truly superb trip! I certainly hope to join you on another in the future and I'll be telling everyone at home about this great experience.
Pat Topp - Flagstone Creek, Queensland Indy 500 2011 August31,2016
It’s always been my dream to drive a race car
The Royal Amsterdam in Pella was wonderful, the people where magnificent and friendly. It was in a great location and provided quick access to shops and other places of interest. I will be recommending friends stay there when they are over that way.
Driving the NASCAR at Iowa Speedway. It’s always been a dream to drive a race car let alone a NASCAR and to do it was simply awesome. Also going to the Nationals and Knoxville Raceway. The atmosphere of the event and the town is something I will always remember.
The tour was simply AWESOME!!!! For all the diehard speedway fans this is the tour for you. A great way to visit different tracks and party with the locals. I would have no problems in recommending to friends and family and will be going back again. I have met some great people and made some wicked friends!!
I can’t stress how brilliant and enjoyable the tour was. Keep up the good work and THANK YOU FOR YOUR ASSISTANCE IN PROVIDING ME WITH A TOUR I COULDN’T SPEAK MORE HIGHLY ABOUT!!!
Daniel Kirby – Thornbury, Victoria Month of Money 2013 August31,2016
I finished off with a cruise to Mexico ….
My first overseas motor racing tour and with a holiday theme it was great. Speedway was the attraction to go but Key West and the Theme Parks in Orlando were absolute bonuses and I finished off with a cruise to Mexico. The phone calls, e-mails and full service provided by Global Speedway Tours pre and post tour and on the trip itself were very good for a first time traveller like myself.
Glenn Mears - Taree NSW Florida 2014 August31,2016
Speedway people are great people
Pevely Speedway (I-55) is a must see. If it was ever taken out of the tour, we wouldn’t go again!!
Global Speedway Tours were fantastic. The professional manner in which they conducted the tour was second to none. The two Peters are like chalk and cheese, but the chemistry of the “odd couple” was a highlight of the tour. They went out of their way to go the extra mile to keep everyone happy and entertained. Their knowledge of America was great. They knew all the best things to see and do and their American friends are now our friends. Speedway people are great.
Gerard and Heath Pursell - Penguin, Tasmania Month of Money 2013 August31,2016
If I had to nominate the highlight, it was the packaging of the whole tour
I’ve always loved reading the Blogs posted daily from previous tours, but reading it every day for the tour I was on was thoroughly enjoyable. The tour was very well organised and managed. Selection of Hotels was excellent, with breakfast included every day except New York and Chicago where we ate with the locals! What I really liked was a reserved seat in the grandstand pre booked at each track and the tickets handed out on arrival. This allowed us to visit the pits, have a drink at the van or just wander, knowing that we had a reserved seat.
Terry Barry – Adelaide, SA Month of Money 2014 August31,2016
Pella was a picture perfect town. Loved the Royal Amsterdam.
Pella and the Royal Amsterdam were a lovely place to stay, staff are friendly. Would be silly to go anywhere else for the Nationals. Chicago was a great place, not enough time to see a whole lot. Baseball is a must, I’m not a baseball fan but really enjoyed it.
The tour highlight? The whole lot!! Hard to pin point one thing. Seeing non-wing 410s in the flesh would be right up there. Surprisingly the Eastern Museum of Motor Racing is right up there too. Just make sure you can get the Lynn Paxton tour for future trips! I visited everywhere I’d only dreamed of!! For a first time, daunted traveller to the USA, I needn’t have worried about a thing as the Petes took care of the lot. Sit back, relax and enjoy the ride as you experience all you’ve ever dreamed of seeing at American speedways.
Would recommend it to anyone wanting to visit the US for a racing holiday, especially first timers as its 100% stress free. Will be travelling with GST again!!
Mitchell Bootland – Kurri Kurri, NSW Month of Money 2014 August31,2016
Probably the best three and a half weeks of my life so far
An excellent 2016 Indy 500 tour that comprehensively covered a myriad of different forms of speedway racing, as well as allowed time to take in the sights and sounds of the Midwest.
An absolutely incredible experience. Probably the best three and a half weeks of my life so far. Really opened my eyes and had such an amazing time.
Will Liston - Barden Ridge, NSW Indy 500 - 2016 August31,2016
Fantastic Racing, Fantastic company, Fantastic tour hosts, Fantastic tour …. would highly recommend!!
I had one of the best times I have ever had with like minded people who were there for the racing and pretty much nothing but the racing. It was a great experience and more than likely in the future I will be back to try one of the other tours, or even the same one. It was an eye opener to me just how good our racing is back home on our shorter tracks, whilst experiencing the speed of the real 1/2 mile tracks and just how professional the racers are in the States. ie. Very minimal crashes for most of the races we went to.
It was also good to see Bryan Clauson race and know what he was about before his accident. A real old school type of racer who would and could just about jump into anything and win. His death did touch me and I guess kept this trip real.
Over a brilliant tour and thank you very much for organising it and taking us to all the great places in the USA. No way would I have seen half of that if going by myself.
Deryk Hartwick - Seabrook, Victoria Month of Money - 2016 October19,2016
I don’t think there is any more room on the tour for anything else ….
I have never seen non winged 410 sprintcars before and I certainly want to see more....
Eldora Speedway was a highlight for me. The speed that that sprintcars get around there is unreal.
Being the first time I have travelled out of Australia, just about everything we saw was a highlight for me. Of the things other than speedway, the tourist attractions in New York, Chicago and St Louis will be great memories of the trip.
Steve Perry - Stawell, Victoria Month of Money - 2016 November19,2016
Basically, not having to worry about anything on tour is the ‘value for money’ aspect.
Being a first timer, all of the tour was a highlight with the impromptu moments along the way adding to the tour experience. The ‘absolute highlight’ changes each time I am recalling the tour to different people!
An enjoyable tour – professionally organised and conducted. A good variety of tracks/races/places of interest visited. Accommodation was excellent. Peter Physick has many contacts in USA who enhance the tour.
Graeme Burdon - Adelaide Month of Money - 2017 September11,2017
All of our travel, events and accommodation were exceptionally well organised.
From the racing perspective our time at both the Knoxville Nationals and the Kings Royal were real highlights. Sitting on the main straight at Knoxville watching the Saturday night feature with 20,000 other screaming fans was terrific. Our time with Stubb at Eldora gave a great perspective on life for US race fans and the overall atmosphere at Eldora was fantastic.
Luke and Reece Grinter - Victoria Month of Money - 2016 September11,2017
The fact that this is an “all inclusive” Speedway Tour suits me just fine
The services provided exceeded expectations, especially when my booking was made at such short notice.
The tour, from the very first contact for flights and the allocation of seating, was very professionally done. This continued for the whole six weeks. Peter Physick is a fabulous host and his knowledge of speedway is unbelievable. Karen Caba is a tremendous asset to the team through ECM Travel and I would recommend Global Speedway Tours to anybody interested in motor sport.
Every day was a highlight, but the absolute highlight for me was meeting Merle Bettenhausen when he pulled up a chair at the end of our table at the Pitstop BBQ in Brownsburg and spoke to us for at least half an hour!
John Ormsby - Kingaroy, Queensland Month of Money - 2017 September19,2017
I cannot recommend these trips highly enough …..
This is the third time I have been lucky enough to join GST for a tour and always have an absolutely excellent time. The racing is superb, the company fabulous and the attention to detail is second to none.
Patrick Topp - Toowoomba, Queensland Month of Money - 2017 September19,2017
I wanted to see racing and we got racing and sightseeing ….
I wanted a trip that I didn't have to organise or drive. Just be part of the fun .... and you delivered on all counts.
I loved Chicago. There is so much to see and the Hop on Hop off buses were great to get around on. Need three nights there Pete ... but not at the expense of a race night!!
I thoroughly enjoyed the whole tour and I will definitely go on another Global Speedway Tours' trip down the track.
Greg Foster - Cranbourne North, Victoria Month of Money - 2017 September19,2017
What more could we do on a tour like this?
The tours Global offer are great value for money. Prospective travellers must understand all the inclusions built into the tour price when comparing the cost with other companies.
PS Can you fit Ohio Sprintweek into a Month of Money tour???
Russell Blackman - Cambridge Park, NSW Month of Money - 2017 September19,2017
Always so much variety ……
Cannot say how much I enjoy the camaraderie, variety and value of Global Speedway Tours. Considerable thought goes into maximising different venues and daily visits to motoring type venues.
Nice to arrive at a track and be told, “here is your reserved ticket/seat and this is where it is".
Chicago, Brickyard, Knoxville Nationals, Pitstop Restaurant, Speedy Bills, Ganassi, Put in Bay. Very difficult to choose an absolute highlight.
Terry Barry - Adelaide, South Australia Month of Money - 2017 September27,2017
Stop dreaming and make it happen ….
If you have ever dreamed of going to the USA and experiencing some of its fantastic racing, then Global Speedway Tours is the easiest and best way to do it.
You will be driven everywhere by a tour leader who has done it all many times before and knows the best races and places to be.
You will meet many people and make lifetime friendships.
You will tour race shops of major teams that the average person would not be able to get in to.
So stop dreaming and make it happen - you will not regret it!!Darren Bould - Pakenham, Victoria Indy 500 & Midget Madness tour - 2018 June25,2018
Too many highlights. It was a fantastic tour …..
It was a fantastic trip which exceeded all expectations.
Accommodation and road travel was very comfortable. Peter Physick was totally professional, caring, respectful, attentive, a good driver and tour leader with a great sense of humour.
We saw all sorts of speedway racing, a lot of which we never see in Australia.
I would highly recommend Global Speedway Tours to anyone interested in speedway.
Doug Rowe - Merbein, Victoria Indy 500 & Midget Madness tour - 2018 June25,2018
I had a memorable trip …..
Being a speedway fan for over five decades, it has been a dream to see racing on the historic race tracks in the Midwest of the United States. The 2018 Indy 500/Midget Week Tour fulfilled this dream and more. The great variety of Sprintcar, Silver Crown and Indycar racing complemented the two weeks of great midget action.
The tour was well balanced and thought out and every day was greeted with eager anticipation for what was ahead. It was all enjoyable. With good planning and professional organisation, Global Speedway Tours ensured that everybody had a memorable trip.Barry Lane - Brisbane, Queensland Indy 500 & Midget Madness tour - 2018 July2,2018
Loved the midgets and loved Carb Day at Indy ……
Thanks again Peter for a very well organised and most enjoyable trip.
Russell Bysouth - Merbein, Victoria Indy 500 & Midget Madness tour - 2018 July5,2018
Indiana & Illinois Midget Weeks are the best racing you will ever see ……
The service provided by Global Speedway Tours is top class and the knowledge of Peter Physick about the racing in America is excellent.
John Ormsby - Kingaroy, Queensland Indy 500 & Midget Madness tour - 2018 October9,2018
Highly recommend the tour to get a taste of what racing is like in America
To be able to see and fit everything in that is organised for us ...… and then to meet so many fabulous new people …. some days become very, very long indeed!!
..... and I bet it's not every tour that gets personalised fireworks at Pevely and Oskaloosa at 1.00am in the morning.
Dawn Fabry - Willetton, Western Australia Month of Money - 2018 October9,2018
I would recommend it to my friends and I would do it again ….
What a great place is Pella! It is just beautiful with clean and quiet streets with all the things you need and just a short 12 miles from Knoxville.
To be honest I just loved the trip with like minded people and I found both Peter and Karen more than helpful in every way.
Ron Fabry - Willetton, Western Australia Month of Money - 2018 October9,2018
Go on …. just do it!
I love the on board $1 esky ….. no esky, no Trevor!
Trevor Mackereth Month of Money - 2018 October9,2018
Do yourself a favour. If you want a great speedway experience, just do it. We did and loved every minute.
At the end of the tour in Pella, Peter Physick asked us "what was the absolute highlight" of the tour? Still we cannot answer because;
We enjoyed lunch with Dave Argabright …
We had a VIP tour of Indianapolis Speedway …
We toured Chicagoland Speedway and Route 66 Dragway …
We visited Dayton Airforce Museum …
We stopped to inspect speedways such as Gas City, Anderson, Marshalltown and others that whetted our appetites …
The thrill of being up in the Oskaloosa flagstand with Toby Kruse was something else …
We "lived on" Chicago's Magnificent Mile at the Westin Hotel on Michigan Avenue …
We toured the Gateway Arch and cruised on a Mississippi Riverboat in St Louis …
We visited Hannibal (Mark Twain's hometown) …
We visited Dianne's fantastic Percheron Horse complex just outside Des Moines …
We shopped at the Outlet Stores in Williamsburg, Iowa …
We dined along Route 66 and ate donuts at Long's Bakery in Indianapolis …
So many places and so many things to see …

Fantastic Dirt Track Racing tour with like-minded people
The tour is great value I feel, as I don’t need to book hotels, or worry about getting from location to location and all race tickets are already booked and paid for. Yes, you could possibly do it cheaper yourself, but avoiding the hassle of working it out is worth paying the tour price.
Fantastic tour again Pete. I'll be back again at some point. Just wish I had more time / money / holidays to do more of them.

It’s all about the people
Peter and the team put together an experience that is more than just getting you from Hotel to Race Track. It’s the personal touch, the people you meet and the “look behind the curtain” that the general public don’t see which provides so much value. Any fan of racing could find something unique and special on the tour.
Peter and Tim are what make the tour work. The People. The unique stories from Peter’s friends and the USA locals. The travelling party. As long as it’s about the People, Global will be fine ….Wayne Gartner Month of Money - 2019 September24,2019
Four tours with GST and we’re not finished yet ….
We have just completed our 4th tour with Global Speedway Tours. Two to the USA and now two to the NT.
We thank Peter for the many hours he puts into arranging these tours. Prior to any departures he sees to it that every need is attended to for every guest and once the tour is in progress he still ensures everyone is looked after and all requests are carried out. And he is a master at compensating for failures outside of his control.
We very much look forward to future trips with Peter and Global Speedway Tours.
PS: We also went on the totally free 2020 Virtual tour for 12 weeks, along with thousands of others. If you missed it, click here.

Everyone had a love for speedway
A fantastic experience in Darwin for the Chariots of Thunder tour with the winged 410 Sprintcars from all over Australia. As well as the racing, Peter organised many trips to see the sights and learn the history of Darwin and the Northern Territory.
Our group of 24 people, who were of varied ages but all with the love of speedway, enjoyed each other's company and made many new friends.
I would thoroughly recommend this tour to anyone with a love of Speedway racing.
