Indy 500 tour 2024 – Inclusions

2019 was our last tour for the Indy 500 because the proposed tour in 2021 was foiled by COVID. Hence we have left the 2019 inclusions details in place so you can assess what is included along the way.  2024 will be with us before you know it, so please let Peter at Global Speedway Tours know that you want to go with us.    

The information shown below is as they applied for our 2019 tour. You will see the full 2019 trip via this itinerary link and you can also evaluate the inclusions by reading further on this page. 

• • All airfares. We include a $1,600 airfare credit in the price
    Anything more will be additional. Anything less will be refunded.

• • All Hotel accommodation in 3.5 star hotels with breakfast every morning (except Chicago).

• • All race tickets, including reserved seating where required
    There are 22 races on the itinerary and we provide tickets for 21 of them. (TBC) Kokomo June 2nd is a personal cost.

• • All ground transport (we do about 4,000 miles)
    

• • A personalised Ganassi Indycar race shop tour in Indianapolis 

• • The Tony Hulman Classic for USAC non winged 410 sprintcars at Terre Haute 

• • Lunch with the celebrated author and TV personality Dave Argabright (TBC)

• • The Hoosier Hundred at the famed Indiana Fairgrounds for Silver Crown cars on the one mile dirt track
    Wait till you stand on turn 1 on the infield and watch them go past just a few metres in front of you!!

• • Carb Day at the Indianapolis Speedway including the Freedom 200 for the Indy Lights racers
    Take this chance to visit the world famous Indianapolis Speedway Museum and check out the mind boggling historic cars. 

• • Bloomington Speedway for the Josh Burton Memorial – non winged 410 sprintcars
    Josh was killed in a race crash at Bloomington in 2014 and this event fondly remembers his life

• • The Indy 500 Parade through downtown Indianapolis streets – An extraordinary spectacle
    You only need to walk from our Hotel to watch the Parade

• • The fantastic Little 500 at Anderson Speedway on the night of the Parade.
    33 non winged sprintcars on a high banked quarter mile paved oval for 500 laps.

• • The massive event called the Indianapolis 500 at the Indianapolis Speedway.
    440,000 spectators will enjoy it with you ….

• • Kokomo Speedway on the evening of the 500. Non-winged sprintcars on perhaps the world’s best track for these cars

• • Outlet Shopping in Edinburgh 

• • • Lawrenceburg Speedway for the World of Outlaws winged sprintcars on Memorial Day evening

  • • Graceland in Memphis plus Sun Studios where Rock and Roll began. (Optional)

  • • Bike night on Beale Street in Memphis.

  • • Jack Daniels’ Distillery tour in Lynchburg, Tennessee. (Optional)

  • • The J&J Sprintcar factory in McKenzie, TN.

  • • The World of Outlaws in their first ever appearance in Nashville, TN.

  • Six incredible and consecutive nights of midget racing in USAC’s Indiana Midget Week
    Each of the six nights have the non-winged 410 sprintcars as the support category at Montpelier, Gas City, Putnamville, Bloomington, Lawrenceburg and Kokomo

• • Visit the National Museum of the US Air Force in Dayton, Ohio (free admission)

• • Two nights in Chicago staying in the heart of the Magnificent Mile precinct. 

  • One day in St Louis
    Gateway Arch tickets and a one hour cruise on the Mississippi are optional extras. Plus visit the Budweiser Brewery and take their complimentary tour with free beer!

• • Drive parts of Route 66 between St Louis and Chicago as we make our way south

• • Five nights of POWRi’s Illinois Midget Week at Belle Clair, Fayette County, Jacksonville, Macon and Lincoln.
